Atwood Greensleeves was our dream-come-true horse- a palomino filly sired by the Nocturne bred stallion, Ancan True Colors, and out of our Cartier/Aljak’s Miss Wham I Am daughter. Foaled in May, 2015, Gigi had it all: she was beautifully feminine, with plenty of Morgan substance. She had a natural four cornered Park trot from birth, and an abundance of energy. She was all ‘go’ all the time. But she also had a Morgan’s curiosity and love of people that endeared her to everyone who saw her. She had her own Facebook fan club. We had high expectations for this filly, as a show horse and a producer, and this was the one we had decided we could not sell. We sent her to Firman Yoder to begin her training late in her two year old year, and with her intelligence and positive attitude, she proved herself a quick learner. Gigi left us suddenly on her third birthday. One of her many Facebook fans said she was “too beautiful for this world.” If you breed horses, you will have your triumphs as well as your heartbreaks. In Gigi, we had both. Run free, beautiful girl. We will never forget you.
